French Parlour Guitar

A French Mirecourt Guitar circa 1880, probably Brugere . Length of back 44.5cms, the table of spruce with fine mother of pearl concentric floral border decoration around sound hole, with six machine tuners and sixteen nickel frets, the back and ribs of rosewood with black and white edging, the neck and head ebonised. Brugere was a pupil of Lacote and some examples of Lacotes late Guitars bear his signature on the table. (P46 "La Guitare- Sinier de Ridder, Italy 2007).In good original condition and playing order. No apparent damage but the bridge has been re-glued. £895
